Refinery & Soap Noodle Plant

In 1996, enticipating upsurge in market demand for palm product derivatives, Darmex Agro through PT Darmex Oil & Fats established a refinery plant with a capacity of 1,200 tons of CPO per day. The plant is situated in Bekasi, West Java. Fractioning and refining of crude palm oil are performed in this stage to produce palm oil derivatives such as refined Bleached and Deodorized (RBD) palm oil, palm fatty acid, RBD stearin, and RBD olein. Most of the cooking oil produced from this refinery is sold to fulfill domestic market demand,  while the other products are exported to the international market.

In 2001, recognizing the huge market opportunity for more hygienic cooking oil, Darmex Agro commenced the production of bottled cooking oil under the “Palma” brand. “ Palma” cooking oil is available in bottle, pouch, and jerry can with volume of 1, 2, 5 and 18  liters.

Palma” cooking oil has been distributed throughout Indonesia and are available in various selected outlets and supermarkets. Good laboratory facilities guarantee “Palma” cooking oil’s high quality from the beginning of the production to the end product.

PT Darmex Oil and Fats also established a soap noodle plant in 2002. The Soap Noodle plant with a capacity of 72 tons per day produced the soap noodle in various specifications to fulfill market demand. Dutapalma’s high plantation production capacity guarantees the raw material supply in supporting the refinery operation and soap noodle plant. There is also a Glycerine plant with a capacity of 1,200 tons a year.
